Professional Package

Our writing process typically takes 3-4 weeks. It includes the following steps:
1. If you have an old or current resume, please provide it to your writer.
2. If applicable, send your writer any job descriptions, titles, and/or companies in which you’re interested.
3. You will receive our personalized UP: Unlock Your Potential questionnaire about your background, goals, and the job descriptions to reflect on your experience.
4. Hold a consultation where you go into depth about your work history and goals in order to uncover strengths and define the value you offer target employers.
5. Your writer creates a new resume. A second writer reviews it before it goes to you. You’ll also receive a cheat sheet with quick tips for tweaking your resume slightly if needed.
6. You review the resume and provide written feedback to your writer.
7. Your writer will finalize it for you, and then draft your LinkedIn profile in a Word template. A second writer reviews it before it goes to you. You’ll also receive our quick guide: How to Make the Most of Your LinkedIn Profile.
8. You review the LinkedIn profile and provide written feedback to your writer.
9. Your writer will finalize the profile for you in Word and send it to you so that you can easily copy/paste into your LinkedIn profile online. We provide a short instructional video to assist you with this process.

Timeline
Our writing process can take up to 4 weeks. If you need your products faster, e.g., to meet an application deadline, you agree to complete the UP questionnaire and 1-hour phone consultation by the dates we specify in our welcome email or we cannot guarantee that you’ll receive your products on time.In order to provide you with the best results possible, we must complete all of the assigned work no later than three months after we begin the process. Time lags result in the resume writer losing familiarity with you and your background, which in turn results in a lower quality product. We take pride in providing you with superior products. If you have circumstances that will prevent you from being able to complete the consultation and review of the final products in a timely manner, please inform and discuss with Career Valet’s staff immediately.
Additional Consultations by Phone
We will revise your document/s post-delivery based on your written feedback. Requests for follow-up phone calls to discuss edits will be billed at $100 per hour with our writing staff, as this is time outside of the allotted consultation and/or coaching session time stipulated in each package.Post-Completion Edit Requests
Once all of your written feedback is incorporated and you’ve approved your final resume, LinkedIn profile, and/or cover letter, further requests for changes will incur an additional cost. Review and editing of documents will be billed at $399 per hour (see Additional Services for more information).Cancelation of Service
If you decide to terminate the service during the process, you must notify us in writing and provide a reason. You will be refunded the total amount minus the time spent on your package and a 15% administrative fee to cover costs.
