  • Several 1-hour deep dive consultations with your senior CV staff member so you don't need to answer the UP questionnaire on your own! You'll work with our senior writer to talk through your best examples and answers to maximize your products

  • 3 new products for your job search (e.g., resume, bio, cover letter, LinkedIn profile)

  • Edits to your materials based on your feedback via phone, video call, or email

  • Cheat sheet for tweaking your resume slightly

  • Quick guide: How to Make the Most of Your LinkedIn Profile

  • 3 months of job search and coaching support from your senior CV staff member via phone, video call, and email

 
  • Our writing process typically takes 3-4 weeks. It includes the following steps:

    1. If you have an old or current resume, please provide it to your writer.

    2. If applicable, send your writer any job descriptions, titles, and/or companies in which you’re interested.

    3. You will receive our personalized UP: Unlock Your Potential questionnaire about your background, goals, and the job descriptions to reflect on your experience.

    4. Hold several 1-hour deep dive consultations so you don't need to answer the UP questionnaire on your own! You'll work with our director or senior writer to talk through the best examples and answers to maximize your products.

    5. Your writer creates a new resume and bio or cover letter. A second writer reviews them before they go to you. You’ll also receive a cheat sheet with quick tips for tweaking your resume slightly if needed.

    6. You review the resume and bio or cover letter and discuss your feedback with your writer.

    7. Your writer will finalize them for you, and then draft your LinkedIn profile in a Word template. A second writer reviews it before it goes to you.

    8. You review the LinkedIn profile and provide discuss your feedback with your writer.

    9. Your writer will finalize the profile for you in Word and send it to you so that you can easily copy/paste into your LinkedIn profile online. We provide a short instructional video to assist you with this process. If you need us to walk you through the process, we can do so.

    10. Reach out to your career expert with questions or for coaching support at any time during the 3 months following the completion of your products. This support can be provided via email, phone, or video call.

  • Timeline
    Our writing process can take up to 4 weeks. If you need your products faster, e.g., to meet an application deadline, you agree to complete the UP questionnaire and 1-hour phone consultation by the dates we specify in our welcome email or we cannot guarantee that you’ll receive your products on time.

    In order to provide you with the best results possible, we must complete all of the assigned work no later than three months after we begin the process. Time lags result in the resume writer losing familiarity with you and your background, which in turn results in a lower quality product. We take pride in providing you with superior products. If you have circumstances that will prevent you from being able to complete the process in a timely manner, please inform and discuss with Career Valet’s staff immediately.

    Cancelation of Service
    If you decide to terminate the service during the process, you must notify us in writing and provide a reason. You will be refunded the total amount minus the time spent on your package and a 15% administrative fee to cover costs.
