What Works? Episode 8: Follow Up to Get an Interview

The next time you think you're going to bother someone by following up, remember this story.

If you haven't heard back, it doesn't mean the person doesn't want to help. They may be busy or simply forgot.

Years ago, I got an interview at the company I'd been applying to without luck for years. I met someone at an event and followed up. And followed up again - and again. In the end, I got the job.

Don't make assumptions. Pick up the phone. Write an email. You too may end up with the job you want.
